At Brennan Cabinetry we design and build complete kitchen renovations — base cabinets, overhead cabinets, pantries, island benches and integrated appliance housings — entirely in our Marrickville workshop. Because every cabinet is made to measure rather than pulled from a flat-pack range, we can work with the real walls, plumbing and floor levels of your home instead of forcing your kitchen to fit a standard module.

The process starts with a free measure and consultation, followed by a detailed 3D design so you can see the layout, the cabinet doors, the drawer configuration and the benchtop before anything is cut. We help you choose between finishes such as polyurethane (2-pac), laminate with ABS edging, timber veneer and high-gloss acrylic, and we specify quality hardware throughout — soft-close hinges, full-extension undermount drawer runners and push-to-open systems where you want a handleless look. Good kitchen joinery is as much about how it works as how it looks: drawer banks instead of cupboards, deep pot drawers, corner solutions, appliance garages and a well-planned island bench all earn their place.

How much does a custom kitchen cost in Sydney?

Most custom kitchens we build fall between $15,000 and $35,000 for cabinetry and installation, depending on size, finish and hardware. Laminate kitchens sit at the lower end, polyurethane and 2-pac finishes in the middle, and large kitchens with stone benchtops, an island and integrated appliances at the upper end. We give you a fixed written quote after the free measure, so you know the final price before we start.

How long does a kitchen renovation take?

From the day we finalise your design, manufacturing usually takes three to four weeks in our workshop. On-site installation of the cabinetry is typically two to four days. If you are also replacing benchtops, splashbacks, flooring or plumbing, we coordinate the timing so trades follow on in the right order.

Do you handle the whole renovation or just the cabinets?

We design, build and install all the cabinetry ourselves, and we can coordinate the benchtop fabricator, electrician, plumber and tiler so the project runs smoothly. Many clients prefer us to manage the cabinetry and benchtop while they organise other trades — we are happy to work either way and will be clear about what is included in your quote.

What is the difference between polyurethane and laminate cabinet doors?

Laminate (melamine with an ABS edge) is cost-effective, durable and comes in a huge range of colours and woodgrains. Polyurethane (2-pac) is a sprayed paint finish that gives a seamless, premium look and can be colour-matched to any shade, but it costs more. We talk you through both during the design stage and often mix them — for example laminate carcasses with polyurethane doors.

Can you design a kitchen for a small or narrow space?

Yes. A large share of our work is in inner-west terraces and apartments where space is tight. Made-to-measure joinery is exactly where custom beats flat-pack — we use full-height cabinets, slimline island benches, clever corner solutions and drawer banks to get the most storage out of a compact footprint.

Do I get to see what the kitchen will look like before you build it?

Always. We produce a 3D design of your kitchen showing the cabinet layout, door style, colours and bench. We refine it with you until it is exactly right, and only manufacture once you have approved the final design and the fixed-price quote.

What benchtop options do you offer?

We work with engineered/reconstituted stone, natural stone, laminate and timber benchtops. Stone is the most popular for its durability and finish; laminate is a budget-friendly option with realistic stone looks. We arrange templating and fabrication with trusted benchtop suppliers as part of the project.

Will the new kitchen be installed by your own team?

Yes. The same business that designs and builds your kitchen installs it. Our installers level and scribe every cabinet to your walls, fit the doors and drawers so they sit flush, and adjust all the soft-close hardware before we walk you through the finished result.

Do you remove the old kitchen?

We can include demolition and removal of your existing kitchen in the quote, including disconnecting and capping where a licensed plumber or electrician is required. We leave the space clean and ready for installation.

Is your work guaranteed?

Every kitchen we build is covered by a 10-year workmanship warranty, and the hardware we use carries its own manufacturer warranties. We are a licensed NSW business and members of the HIA and Master Builders NSW.
